I have a 2022 DF9.9BRS (electric start, ext.controlbox). ECU 33930-89L40 (F8T58973 1917).
I want to remove the rpm limit (ie. make it 20 hp along with air intake screen).
I've bought a secondary ECU 33920-89LL0 (F8T58273 7Z27), which comes from another 9.9 supposedly with electric starter.
My plan was to flash 20 hp program into the secondary brain and swap them, this way I would still have the original brain and could swap back. However, after reading this whole thread I'm not quite sure, and it left me with more questions.
1. Are there any physical difference on the ECUs with and without electric start?
2. Can I damage my engine with electric start, using an ECU for manual start (reprogrammed)?
3. Can my original 9.9 program be modified (33920-89LL0 (F8T58273 7Z27)), so that only the rpm limit is removed
(engine reports 9.9 BRS and the hour meter will work)? Hex editor?
4. If I just flash a 20 HP electric start firmware into the secondary ECU 89LL0, will it supposedly work?
5. The linked download resource on page 2 (ecu-firmware-files.ru), do I need to donate money (I don't have 10 ECU files to upload)?

this is then the same original program I already have, or is it a modified version?
